The Congress Youth Theatre was formed in 1993, as a non-profit making Youth Theatre company.
The youth theatre aims to provide

a safe, fun and professional environment to young people who wish to explore the arts

an opportunity for young people from all demographics in the borough to perform

support to young people who have a desire to study and work in a creative industry

to encourage social skills while being involved in a shared interest

Junior Members
Ages 9 - 11 meet on a Saturday 11.00 - 12.30
Ages 11 - 14 meet on a Saturday 12.30 - 14.00
With their production taking place in July each year.
Youth Members
Ages 14 - 19 meet on a Monday 18:00 till 21:00
With their production taking place in March each year.
Classes take place during term times, however commitment increases as rehearsals progress and rehearsals include Sunday afternoons. Members and families are expected to understand the importance of attendance at rehearsals - this is the main requirement of the company.
